We are pleased to announce the Student Spotlight winner, Brittnay Williams-Chery! Throughout her time in the Medical Assistant Administrative (MAA) program at Pima Medical Institute Online, Brittnay has demonstrated exceptional dedication both academically and within her community. Driven by a lifelong passion for healthcare that began while helping her grandmother manage her morning medications, she balances her studies as a full-time student with raising a young daughter and working full-time as a caregiver for retired and disabled veterans. In her courses, Brittnay consistently goes above and beyond, making sure her peers feel heard and supported in class discussions by offering thoughtful, detailed feedback to ensure no student’s post goes unanswered.

Facing significant challenges along the way, Brittnay persevered through moments of doubt to turn her motivation into meaningful action and achieve her educational goals. With the steadfast support of her instructor, Aimée Michaelis, and career services representative, Cindy Sage, she successfully completed the MAA certificate program to build a brighter future for herself and her daughter. Looking ahead, Brittany plans to continue her educational journey at PMI by pursuing an Associate Degree in Health Care Administration (HCA), bringing her one step closer to her ultimate career ambition of managing a hospital.
