Directions for Applying for Financial Aid

FAFSA(s) must be completed 3 DAYS PRIOR to financial aid appointment to allow for processing time.

Apply for FSA ID

If Dependent- One parent will need to apply for their own FSA ID.

Complete the 2023/24 & 2024/25 FAFSA applications

1. https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa

2. Complete using student’s and/or parent’s 2021 Taxes for the 2023/24 FAFSA.

3. When filling out the 2023/24 and 2024/25 FAFSAs, utilize the “Link to IRS” function as instructed on the FAFSA application or if unable to link, then reference the 2021 and 2022 Federal Tax return(s) depending on the application year (described above). 

4. School Code: 015666 – appears as Pima Tucson.

Complete Direct Loan Master Promissory Note

https://studentaid.gov/mpn/

Steps for Completion of MPN:

1. Sign in – FSA ID is required.

2. Click Complete Master Promissory Note.

3. Apply for Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loans.

4. Choose Pima (appears as Tucson).

5. Click Submit.

Complete Entrance Counseling

https://studentaid.gov/entrance-counseling/

1. Sign in – FSA ID is required.

2. Click Complete Counseling.

3. Choose Pima (appears as Tucson).

4. Complete and submit Entrance Counseling.
